About

The space between the arches

In German architecture, a Zwickel is the spandrel: the curved surface between two arches. Most people never notice it. Builders have always put their finest work there. We build houses the same way, with the care in the details others skip.

We preserve each building's historic details — the original cornices, banisters and plasterwork — because they give a house its character. They cannot be reproduced, only cared for.

And we pair them with smart layouts, the best materials and a contemporary smart home — so each house lives as beautifully as it looks.

The Founders

Rotem Lev-Zwickel & Amir Zwickel — Co-Founders

ZWICKEL is a husband-and-wife practice. Rotem Lev-Zwickel and Amir Zwickel find, design and rebuild each house together, from the first walk-through to the final brass handle. Every house gets their full attention, down to the details most people never notice.
